Hello everybody…
On a positive note, I’ve been able to spend some time in Second Life lately. Woot Woot!
My days are still pretty full trekking to and from the hospital, but with any luck CB (hubby) will come home the end of this week (house modifications permitting) and I won’t be left trying to figure out how to do everything and not feel to tired to play on SL. *Chuckle* Two nights ago… I cannot believe it… I actually got instructions from him to play on SL – something I never thought I would hear, but he figured it was time for me to take a timeout and relax for a while.
So I logged on, spent some time sorting through some messages, chatting it up with a few friends… and wooohooo… some skinny dipping. I so love having my own place now – can skinny dip to my heart delight and be less worried about who might show up. Yup… the fun stuff. It was great though and I almost (almost) forgot how much I missed it.
Oh boy, the times does blur, because I also know inbetween all the hospital treks and the dictated visit to SL, I had logged in a couple other times for short visits … great ones too … making plans to hold a Halloween party (yeah, it’s early yet, but never too early to start planning) and and and… yeah… gonna do it… hold a party on the new property. What kind of party? Well a party .. you know.. and well … yeah … of course, there will be a clothing optional swimming component. What do ya expect?
Yesterday was a really busy one too, personal wise, but at the end of the day, I returned to visit in Second Life to enjoy more good times. I missed catching Shadow, but did connect up with Coyote who helped me out with the fact that I thought I had mucked up my new radio. Turns out, I needed to.. (like this was hard to figure out) log off of SL, and log back on. While I was gone, he reset the scripts for me. *teehee* I would have eventually figured it out.
Anyways… about a week or so ago, maybe it was longer, while looking for lost objects at coordinates 0,0 (a common place to find such objects,) with Coyote noted that there seemed to be some objects buried in the ground. It was the strangest damn thing as the objects were there, but not. I could click on them, but not find out who they belonged to nor could I return the objects. Through the passage of time and pressing Real Life (RL) issues, I never did get to mention this to Frodon or Daniel, so forgot about it until last night. While hanging with Coyote, he had to go see Daniel about something and mentioned the phantom objects to Daniel.
Daniel arrived on scene and went into the big hole I had dug investigator the earlier objects. He came back up and said he couldn’t see anything. I was amazed and couldn’t believe it, so dropped into the hole myself to take a look. Standing there, I was blown away as I watched “dead people” drop into the corner of the sim. Seriously…. “I see dead people!” Time and time again, several avatars dropped in… well, croaked in the corner, eventually getting back … only to return and die at my feet again. I took a bit of ribbing at Daniel and Coyote suggested I was seeing things, so I took a picture:

(0,0) co-ordinates and dead people!
We still don’t know why it happened, but one of the Avies came over after Daniel IM’d them… was spooky to see them in the ‘flesh’ .. heh. I believe Daniel is planning a reboot of the sim to see if it resolves the problem.
So hmm… yeah… an interesting evening. *chuckle* When I’m bored, I think I’ll just go into the hole and wait for the dead people to drop in.
Catch ya on the flip side!
