Hubby post-op

Hubby is doing well the day after his surgery.

He is still on a respirator and is not expected to be taken off until after the weekend.  Otherwise, much is unchanged as far as I know… that’s okay… I can handle that… just not the downward trend thing.  I’ve got my fingers crossed on that one.

I’m home for the night now.  Too tired to return to the hospital again and will be looking at reducing my hours at the hospital – for both personal health reasons and at the suggestion of the staff there to look at returning to a normal type of life… whatever that is.

Take care all my friends :)   I’m tired.. time to try to unwind and think a little bit less about the day (if that is possible.)

Hubby’s surgery complete

Hello all

A brief update.

Hubby came out of surgery.  It took eight hours, and two surgeons working at the same time to repair his arm & leg.

The surgeons say he did very well with no compications.

I had family with me the whole time, and we are relieved to have the surgery all finished.  Now we can take the next steps towards recovery.  It is going to be a long slow process.

Thank you for all your thought & prayers.

Hugs, Doodle

Away from SL for a while

As some people may know, my husband has been involved in a workplace accident that has left him in very critical condition.  As I post this blog, he is going into surgery to repair a broken right leg and right elbow and upper arm.

I will mostly likely not be on SL for a while as I take care of things.

I thank all of you who already know of what’s going on for your prayers, thoughts and well wishes.

I am hopeful that all will turn out well.  We must now just be patience and wait for things to unfold.

Update of my “Addicted to Second Life” page

I finally got around to updating the Addicted to Second Life page.

The page continues to be a fairly popular page in the search engines.  I’m not sure if this is because people are suffering a serious Second Life addiction or if they are looking at it in a humorous way like I am, but nonetheless, I have enjoyed maintaining the page.

Feel free to continue sending in your suggestions, and I’ll be sure to add them.

Catch ya on the flip side!

Tiki Torch Hunt

Hello Peeps!

Today is an interesting day and I’m not exactly sure when I’ll be getting on to Second Life (SL.)

Dancegirl

Currently I am sitting at home stewing and wiggling in my chair, anticipating the final call from the car stereo place telling me that my new car stereo is installed… woot woot! The stereo is a present from hubby to me.. and the rocking speakers are a present to myself. Heh… so, while I am waiting, I can’t sit still, nor can I concentrate. LOL. Now if only I could install the same system at the new place in SL.

Now.. the place. I haven’t had much time to do more with the “place.” I’ve been on a Tiki Torch hunt. I wanna get ones that have auto on/off so they turn on and off with the changing light conditions. I did a search using the search engine within SL, but that was very frustrating, so I resorted to using the SL Exchange. How sweet is that place? Awesome. Now, my only problem with getting stuff seems to be my expensive taste, but I’ve also discovered that you get what you pay for, so expensive Tiki Torches it will be. I hope to log onto SL later today and set them up.

Did I mention yet that while out crusing I found a Tim Horton’s in SL? Woohoo! How freaky is that, huh? If you’re a Canadian like me, seeing a Timmy’s in SL is like… well… extremely trippy. I have spent many hours, and a lotta money in Timmy’s. Heh.. at least in SL, I shouldn’t have to mortgage the family farm to further my coffee habit. Speaking of which, I’m sucking back one of those blessed coffee’s right now . . . one & one with a double cup, thank you. For those who don’t know what that is… one cream, one sugar with an added cup so I don’t burn the hell out of my fingers. Another popular Canadian version of coffee is the double double… but I’m sure you’ll figure that one out on your own. :-D

Well… that’s it for now folks. I’m just about bouncing out of my chair with hyperness. Gotta go run about 15 laps around the block to burn off some of this energy.

Catch ya on the flip side.
