Woot woot!
Know what I like about Second Life (SL?) Everything and anything is possible….
So, I finally got to connect up with the neighbor again … Tim and his partner, Shatzie… and of course, a friend of theirs Atli. Atli has the coolest toys… hell so does Tim – he’s got a skydiving platform in his backyard! Woohoo!
Anyways, I sure get distracted easy, don’t I? I finally managed to get some time to talk to my friendly neighbor, and lo and behold, Atli has a magic carpet! Too kewl, huh? And she had a hover something or other that looked really neat… and a tire that was like a robot that you could jump in and ride. Lots of fun stuff. I still gotta find out that hover-craft thingy was… looks really fun! Back to the magic carpet – I got to ride on it for a while – felt like Ali Baba from Arabian Nights.
The only difficulty with using any kind of vehicle, soft carpet or not, is when you run into parcels of land that you’re not supposed to have access on. Really throws a kink into the fun – dead stop! Boom! On the ground…. SPLAT!!!
Okay, so after trying out the magic carpet and being nicely given one of my own to use (which I promptly crashed,) I decided to go shopping for a motorbike. Like I need to ride a motorbike!! I have a hard time driving a scooter, but no problem, I’m brave… all I need is a straight stretch, brakes, and enough room to start. I’ve bought the motorbike, but am still looking for a straight stretch to let it rip!
While out looking for that elusive straight stretch, (after showing Zen my cool bike) we did find a go kart track. Thought I might initially try the bike on it, but hehe.. the bike is too big. We ran into Dizzy Arnaz there, our realtor from our land purchase, and she told us that we were in the Bart Hart Estates Welcome area, set up for newbies! Talk about awesome and cool – they had this go kart track there for people to use… all you gotta do it rent the go kart (and a very reasonable fee it was too.. hehe… freee!) and away you go. Well at the end of trying it all out, I’ve come to the decision that I suck at driving. I think my fastest lap was 58 seconds.. sheesh!
So… I’m back at my home beach now. All speeded out, and ready to just soak up some rays. I’ve had enough excitement of the motorized kind for one day. Maybe tomorrow I’ll actually find that straight stretch and take the bike out for a spin!
Catch ya on the flip side!
