Well, when I started on Second Life (SL,) I never imagined developing such good friendships with people. Well, I did, but I didn’t… sounds like a contradiction, but it really isn’t.
I’m a fairly chatty and happy person despite the things that gnaw at my brain. Yep, we all deal with our own bag of troubles. So, I knew that I would be able to dive right in and meet some great people despite my apparent shyness in Real Life (RL.) Now, just for the record, if you were to ask most people in RL, they would not tell you that I am shy ‘cuz I do a pretty good job of masking that. Heaven forbid anyone know that when I talk to them, I could just die. 
So.. I’ve made a whack of pretty good friends. And some of those friendships have become more than just the “I want to log on and chat with my friends” friendships. Hard to explain, but I actually look forward to getting the opportunity to fire things up and chat. My place to be free, my place to chat, my place to share. *smiles fondly*
So, today is the birthday of a very good friend, Duncan, but as it would appear he has birthday commitments today, we’re getting ready to whoop it up tomorrow. And I must say that I never thought that these developing friendships would mean throwing a birthday party for someone – Wow!
