Dancing, Friends, Good Times

Last night was a good time on Second Life (SL) … actually most of yesterday was.

Didn’t really do a heck of a lot productive … really – but who is to say that SL is about being productive – ‘cuz it ain’t. *laughing* Nope… not! In fact, at least for me, it’s the total opposite. I actually have to take breaks from SL so I can get stuff done in Real Life (RL.) Which I did – and which I did not want to do… *sigh*

So… what has transpired over the last couple of days?

Well… hmm… lots of dancing, of course. Ari seems to DJ at quite a few places, so it’s always fun to drop in and kick up my heels. Her music rocks pretty good too – my favorite being the Muppet Song – you know, the one Animal plays on the drums. Through dancing, I’ve met a lot of friends – good friends, good music – they seem to go together. I’d like to list them all off, but wowsers – I’d be afraid to miss somebody. Suffice to say I’ve found a few cohorts to help me in my mischievous ways. Add to the list of people who will help me tease the hell out of the people I like … thank goodness I have Pasha, Shadowz, and Ari to help me with this neverending task!   *sigh* I’m sure there’s more. Sorry if I’ve forgotten you… my poor head is swimming with lots of fun memories!

Shadowz … aka Shadow is kewl. She’s a friend of Duncan’s who finally managed to get online. Her computer wasn’t able to run SL previously, but sure am glad she can now. Today we spent some time shopping for a new skin, hair, eyes and hmm… can’t remember what else. What a riot! I think what I really enjoy when I make new friends is the discovery that they have a sense of humor to match mine… well, maybe it’s not the humor – more the hmm… love of a good laugh, an ability to play on words, and an appreciation for fun. *smile* Welcome to SL, Shadow!

Well… that’s it for now… oh… ‘xcept for one thing! I kicked Duncan’s butt go-Karting today! Woot woot! Eat my dust!

A different blog

Well… okay…

*big breath*

As you all know, I created this blog to document my adventures on Second Life.  For the most part, my entries here are generally light, not very indepth (well sometimes they are – hehe – when I’m having a bucketful of fun!) – but there is another side to me.  If you’re interested in it, you will find a link to my RL blog in my “About Doodle” page.  Consider yourself forewarned -  Real Life is not near as fun as Second Life, and the blog is far more serious than this one.

Chores in-between playing Second Life

Aye yi yi… who would have thought there would be such a long list of things to do?

Of course, they will all get done – with Second Life sprinkled in-between to make them tolerable.

Here’s my list:

• Rake front yard (done)
• Work on front flower bed (done)
• Tidy up beside the house (done)
• Tidy up spare bedroom (done)
• Put kitchen/dining room back in order (done)
• Shampoo carpet in spare bedroom (done)
• Rake back yard (done)
• Put greenhouse up (done)
• Get squirrel and bird feeders out (done)
• Pull out bike and get ready for riding (half done)
• Phone autobody shop and get car in for repairs (phoned, goes in tomorrow for pictures, then appointment to be made, yuk!)
  
• Finish sending medical receipts off (done)
• Invite parents over for dinner (done, but only coming for coffee – time constraints)
• Get the dogs to the groomers to be clipped
• Buy new pantry

Well, I’m sure there are odds and sods I have forgotten. Seems always to be the case. So, slowly, I shall get these things done. Today was an accomplishment – got to tick off two from the list. Who knows by the end of the day, maybe it will be three?

On the Second Life front, it appears the friends list still isn’t working quite up to snuff. Oh well *shrug* – I like laying on the beach and picking the lint out of my belly button as I contemplate life. On the other hand, I could view it as my opportunity to go out and be really really bad and nobody will know that I’m even online doing that. Thank goodness for radars that let you know when friends are near… LOL!

Doodle’s Daemon

Okay… thanks to Duncan, I went off and checked out my Daemon (a cross between the Soul and Best Friend that accompanies you into your virtual word.) He explains the story behind the Daemon better than me in his own post.

Well, I did mine… and hmm… it’s interesting. Once you quit chuckling, please provide some input. If you know me, please take the time to give some feedback, if you don’t – feel free to look, but don’t try to morph mine. Thanks…

Seems I keep getting turned into either some kind of monkey or some kind of bunny   Hehe.. we’ll see what it ends up being in the end!

Downtime

It seems that I am to have some Real Life downtime… or at least work downtime.

*sigh*

Not that I mind … two weeks off work to try to recover my energy levels (Okay, I do mind, but that’s a whole other story ) I’d like to think of this as an opportunity to play hard on Second Life, but I suspect it might be an opportunity to sleep hard. Heh… I’m not even sure I could play on Second Life for extended periods of time without somehow feeling like I should be at work, slogging it! No promises though – SL seems to have that draw to it… come play, it doesn’t take that much energy… come on!

*chuckle*

Nonetheless, I am off until the 10th of May and hope to use some of that time to catch up on a whole lotta things – housework, yard work, some sleep, er… some TLC… and maybe, just maybe.. a little skinny dipping – Second Life style
